The Fall of Planet Fashion?

As if the over-the-top desirably collection, and the globally live streamed presentation in 3-D, wasn't enough buzz for BURBERRY, Bailey took it one step further by pre-selling the runway clothes online, instantly after the show finished. An extremely intelligent marketing strategy and forward step, which opens up, the highly privileged fashion industry... These pieces are normally used for fashion shoots. And just after the season closes, during very private sales, they are sold for bargain prices to editors and the likes in fashion, when the collections start hitting the stores. That's right, we're wearing high end for half the price, or less, in time. Because God forbid, a fashion editor wearing last season...:-) Borders are fading by the day, in fashion la-la land, with bloggers sitting front row shoulder to shoulder to Anna Wintour, teenagers writing for Harpers Bazar and global access to pre sale collections. Is this the fall of Planet Fashion?

The online pre sale of BURBERRY PRORSUM F/W 2010 started yesterday and will continue until tomorrow.
