Breathless...

It's one of those lovely spring days in Paris, where I get all Nouvelle Vague-ish, and wander around the city, as  in one of Godard's movies... :-)

    A great picture, ``A bout de souffle.'' I was a real Godard fan in college. Wrote a long paper on him and his films. As he got more political, tho, I found his later films increasingly unwatchable. So I prefer to be nostalgic for his early ones made on the streets of Paris.

    Didn't know that. J. dicovered Godard last summer, so I had to buy most of his movies. But you're right, the first ones are less confronting than his later work... I of course, am very much into his esthetics. The photography, the setting, the graphics. And there are so many great fashion moments to recall & re-watch...
