Jean Seberg & Jean-Paul Belmondo in Godard's first feature-length film "Au bout du souffle" (1960)...
TTFN ♥
Heels, no less than 10 centimeters. Always. They're kind of glued to my feet. I prefer clutches over totes, because what would a girl need more to carry with her, than a Chanel lipstick, and a bankcard.
Coffee at café de Flore, and tea & macarons at Ladurée. A stroll in my back yard, Les Jardins de Luxembourg, where one can find me daydreaming about La Belle Epoque, at least once a day.
Always carrying a copy of The picture of Dorian Gray with me, and when the going gets tough, Strawberries & Nutella cheer me up.
Wardrobe mantra: Dress-up-dress-up-dress-up.
Oh, and I do work. In fashion of course.
P.S. You can always call me for a glass of bubbles...
A great picture, ``A bout de souffle.'' I was a real Godard fan in college. Wrote a long paper on him and his films. As he got more political, tho, I found his later films increasingly unwatchable. So I prefer to be nostalgic for his early ones made on the streets of Paris.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know that. J. dicovered Godard last summer, so I had to buy most of his movies. But you're right, the first ones are less confronting than his later work... I of course, am very much into his esthetics. The photography, the setting, the graphics. And there are so many great fashion moments to recall & re-watch...
