William Morris (24 March 1834 – 3 October 1896)
the English textile designer, artist, writer, and socialist
associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and
the English Arts and Crafts Movement.
Morris experimented in self-publishing and
encouraged the creation of small presses in America
that published books, pamphlets, and magazines
to spread the gospel of liberated work.
In 1901, inspired by Morris, the New York based
Gustav Stickley founded the periodical known as
The Craftsman that began by expounding
the philosophy of the English Arts & Crafts movement.
As it evolved, the publication is credited with being
the leading voice of the Arts & Crafts movement in US.
I would love to get my hands on this CRAFTSMAN
on William Morris (October 1901)
Uhm, yes, I collect framed insects and butterflies,
and one day I would love to find
the perfect stuffed fully grown peacock
(because those beautiful tail feathers only develop in his third year).
But for now, another collection of FRAMED
BUTTERFLIES is on my wish list.
LOUIS VUITTON
PENELOPE SUNGLASSES
One of my new years' resolutions is to "enfin" start taking pictures.
As in taking photography classes and all that
and learning how to develop photos myself.
So, I thought, I ask Santa for the very best:
The classic HASSELBLAD 500C introduced in 1957,
after the first model 1600F (1948) had problems with its original focal-plane.
The new 500C allowed the use of several excellent Zeiss lenses,
with their own individual Compur leaf shutters.
Sounds professional, doesn't it? Haha
Vintage CAHIERS DE CINEMA please,
especially the early ones from the 50's and 60's
The autobiography of the living rock legend
Mr Keith Richards LIFE launched in October
of this year, is on top of my wish list, actually...
I am looking for this vintage GUCCI Tote for quite
some time now. Maybe Santa still has one in stock?
Look at this delicious BOTTEGA VENETA booty
from the FW2010 collection. Perfect for snowy
days, and the colour, hmmmmm...
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you!
Enjoy sharing gifts, quality time, love & laughter
and a listening ear with your loved ones!
All this, dressed to the nines, with a glass of bubbles of course.
...and don't forget to wear your fabulous heels!
Cheers!
